Content within static websites are delivered to a visitors web browser using the most straight forward approach. Their simple design structure can be thought of much like an online brochure. In general, static websites are well suited for anyone requiring a minimal web presence of 1-10 pages with little or no need for automated web technologies. Adding website features like a photo gallery, a mp3 player, or video player can usually be added directly to a page. Features like a blog system or a shopping cart must usually be added as a stand alone application. In many cases, it is best to use a content management system for these features in a new website.
